Hello,

This is a big week for the PHS Band Program. Please double check everything in the schedule below. As a reminder, students can find their pep band assignments on Schoology and the concert on Tuesday is for Symphonic Band members.

Students will also be bringing home information about our winter fundraiser this week. We will send out information about the fundraiser to parents in a second email on Wednesday.

 

February 4

o  Basketball Game 2

  • 5:30 Call Time
  • 6:30 Set up
  • 7:00 Game
  • 8:30 Approximate end of game

February 5

  • Winter Guard practice at PHS from 6:00pm to 9:00pm
  • PHS/PHHS Symphonic Band concert at PHHS
    • 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. – REHEARSAL on stage at Park Hill High School
    • 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Pizza in Cafeteria
    • 6:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. – Change for concert
    • Performance in Park Hill High School Auditorium – Attire for students:  ALL BLACK
    • 6:30 – PHS report to stage
    • 6:30 – PHHS report to band room
    • 7:00 – PHS Performance
    • 7:20 – PHHS Performance
    • 7:45 – COMBINED performance with Craig Fuchs conducting

February 7

  • Jazz Band Festival at Mo. Western  – Please contact Mr. Boyd for more details
  • Winter Guard practice at PHS from 6:00pm to 9:00pm
  • School Board Meeting
    • Rob Traphagan and Kiana Fernandes will be recognized at the board meeting for their achievement of making All-State.

Looking forward, please keep in mind our events on February 11 (Solo & Ensemble) and March 2 (Symphonic Camp) when making plans. Students can sign up for performance times for February 11 outside the band office. The event is from 5:30 to 7:30.

The Symphonic Band Camp event on March 2 will be from 9:30am to 4:30pm, lunch will be provided.

We’re in need of 10 parent volunteers to help with our event on February 11. We’re dividing the event into hour shifts. Please use the following link to sign up:
