Hello Band Families:
Tomorrow, Monday Nov 12th is our next PIMB meeting, in the Theory Room at PHS, at 6.30, all are welcome.
Monday Nov 19th is Cappuccino Night – our big Jazz Band fundraiser, and the next major event on the calendar. A printable flyer is attached if you would like to share this event information.
- Dinner is available, either chicken or brisket for $15 per person or 4 tickets for $50.
- Table reservations are available for 8 person or 4 person tables in front or mid room locations starting at $100 for VIP and $75 for front row – tables are selling fast, so be sure to sign up to reserve yours.
- Commemorative Jazz Coffee Mugs are available for pre-order for $10.
Please check sign-up sheets below for due dates. Payments can be dropped in the payment box in the band room on either campus. Table reservations, dinner reservation, commemorative Jazz mug orders are below, and on the band website.
This is a very popular event, and last year we had standing room only, so table reservations are encouraged. There will be a special guest trio this year, so you will want to be sure to get a great seat!
Concert Band and Symphonic Band will rehearse Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this week. Symphonic Band will be performing at our Veteran’s Day assembly on Monday. Students have known about this event, but please help us by communicating the order of events below, as the details were not finalized until last Friday:
9:45am – Students dismissed to change.
10:06am – Warm up in the gym.
10:45am – Assembly begins.
Any students auditioning for All-State are encouraged to stay after school for help on Mondays or Fridays between now and December 1. Mr. Gillespie will be available to listen to etudes and provide feedback.
Winter Guard auditions will be November 27, 29, and 30 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm at PHS. Anyone interested should talk to Mr. Gillespie. This group is open to all students and does not require prior guard experience to audition.
Cappuccino Night – Monday November 19th, and will include a silent auction. We need your help selling ads in the program, looking for donations for the auction from businesses you own, or frequent. Restaurant gift cards, Event tickets, Professional Services, Décor Items all make great auction items.
We will also need volunteers to setup, serve and clean up at this event – we only have 13 Adult and 4 Student slots left to fill – thank you!
Donations of desserts are appreciated, as these are offered for a donation on the night! You can sign up below:
