Park Hill District Marching Festival Volunteering

The Park Hill District Marching Festival is next weekend, Saturday, Oct 13.  There are numerous volunteering opportunities for both students and adults.  Please consider signing up to help us execute this large fundraiser for the band programs at Park Hill South and Park Hill.  We will primarily be volunteering throughout the festival in the morning, and running concessions all day. Please note some slots are specific to adults, some to students for safety reasons. Also students can earn lettering credits for volunteering.   We need everyone to help, as this is a major fundraiser for the band.

As usual, the host bands (our marching band and Park Hill High School’s Marching Band) will perform in exhibition before awards.  We are the second band to march in exhibition, at 8pm in the evening before the awards.  (See Marching Band Weekly Update for more information about the performance and report times.)

Job descriptions for the different volunteer opportunities at the festival can be found in the link below

We need volunteers to check-in in the band room at Congress Middle School 15 minutes before their scheduled shift.   This will give you time to get questions answered, get your wristband and get to your assigned location on time.

There are three positions we need adults to fill which are not on the sign-up sheets.   We need two adults to be at the volunteer table in the Congress Band Room during our scheduled times to help with the check-in of the rest of the volunteers.   The third position would be to help Tom Harris oversee the concessions throughout the day.  This would not be working in the concession stand but making sure everything is flowing well in the concession stand.   Contact Tom Harris ( if you’re able to help with these special positions.
